Secundal Quintet was premiered by the Cleveland Classical Guitar Society in 2012.
This piece for five guitars features secundal tonality — that is to say, harmonies based off the interval of a second (versus tertian chords that stack the interval of a third). Each guitarist plays only one more at a time in order to give the impression that everything is played by one guitarist with massive hands.
